My Story

Hey there! I’m Kaitlyn & I’m a surreal watercolor artist living and working in Erie, Pennsylvania! As an artist, I enjoy exploring depth and meaning behind unity, oneness with self, psychology behind emotions and feelings, and man’s relationship/interconnectedness with the natural world. I try to use these elements to create an ethereal and otherworldly realm where the metaphysical and natural world meet. I’ve always had a strong love for nature, meticulous detail, mysterious symbolism, and surrealism, which can often be found in my work.

Growing up in the rural Pennsylvania countryside, I never had much outside influence for creating art. However, I have always found myself drawn to creative expression. As a child I played piano, sang, danced, & loved making little crafts. I first began drawing and painting around the age of 12 but never saw myself becoming a professional artist. At age 17 I began my journey with watercolors, which has become my main medium. At this point I have been painting in watercolors for 13 years - attempting to master the medium and work with it in a way nobody has ever done before.

Over the years I have watched my little dream of becoming a professional artist bloom into reality! Around 2014 I first began posting my work online. It was slow growth at first. Around 2020 I began to experience my first round of viral videos for my watercolor works. From there, my work blew up! As of 2025 I have amassed an amazing following on Facebook and various other platforms.

My work has been featured all over the world in various formats, from magazine publications, to book covers & album art, to gallery shows and solo shows!

During the summer months I vend my work at various music festivals around the country including; Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee, Electric Forest in Michigan, Secret Dreams Festival in Ohio, & many more! Keep your eyes peeled for my summer vending schedule to catch me and my art in person.

In addition to making art, I also enjoy studying mycology/trees/ecosystems and how they work, hiking, skiing, reading non-fiction, & traveling all around the world.
